Privacy Policy for Free Floor Plan Assistant

Overview

Free Floor Plan Assistant is a privacy-conscious Chrome extension designed to help users prepare webpage images for the Free Floor Plan image-to-2D floor plan workflow.

The extension focuses on user-initiated actions. It does not automatically upload images, does not log in to websites, does not collect account credentials, and does not operate a separate backend server for extension data.

Data We Process

The extension may process the following information only after a user action, such as right-clicking an image, scanning the current page, copying an image URL, downloading an image, or opening the related website tool:

• The URL of an image selected through the right-click menu or page scan.
• Image metadata such as width, height, and alt text.
• The current page title and page URL for labeling recent captures and helping users identify image sources.
• Recent image references saved locally by the user.

How Data Is Stored

Recent image references and the current selected image reference are stored locally in the user's browser using Chrome's local extension storage.

This data is not uploaded to a separate extension backend server. Users can clear recent image history from the extension side panel.

How Data Is Used

The extension uses selected image information to show a preview in the side panel, help users copy or download the image reference, save recent local references, and open the Free Floor Plan website with the selected image reference included in the URL.

When a user clicks "Open Image to 2D Tool," the selected image URL may be appended to the Free Floor Plan website URL so the website can display a preview and help the user continue the workflow manually.

Data Sharing

Free Floor Plan Assistant does not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.

The extension does not automatically transmit image history to a remote server. A selected image URL is only passed to the Free Floor Plan website when the user explicitly chooses to open the website tool.

User Control

Users stay in control of the extension workflow. Users can:

• Choose whether to right-click and select an image.
• Choose whether to scan the current page for large image candidates.
• Choose whether to save an image reference to recent history.
• Clear recent image history from the side panel.
• Choose whether to copy, download, or open a selected image reference in the website tool.

No Sensitive Data Collection

The extension does not collect:

• Passwords
• Payment information
• Form inputs
• Cookies
• Account credentials
• Full browsing history

Remote Code

The extension does not use remote JavaScript or WebAssembly code. Extension scripts are included in the packaged extension files.
